DACC Golf Outing

DRS Moving Group have entered a team into the inaugural Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing. The outing is to be held at Forbes of Kingennie and will consist of 12 Teams. The DRS Team 'The Movers & Shakers' will be made up of Scot Brown (MD), John Brown (Chairman), Dave Rhynd and Dave Doyle (client).

DRS Moving Group has now been accepted as the Britannia network member for the Dundee & Perth area (and North Fife). This was achieved after stringent application forms were completed and verified by the Britannia head office in Croydon and after a full and thorough site visit/audit by a senioe manager from BMI HQ. Scot Brown, the DRS Moving Group MD has said this brand strengthens the current service.

Dundee Removal Services changes its name

Dundee Removal Services has decided to change its Company name to DRS Moving Group Ltd in recognition of the fact that there are now 6 different trading names under the main brand. This is no way changes the current provision and Dundee Removal Services will continue to be the face of local moving in the Tayside and North Fife area.

DRS acquires another local moving firm

Dundee Removal Services has again been on the acquisition trail with the purchase of another long established mover Alexander Removals, which also comes with the opportunity to enter the national network of independent movers with the Britannia Movers International brand. This acquisition will again allow the consolidation of current storage provision and reinforce the national, European and international moving services already on offer. The resultant size will also allow DRS to provide full scale commercial moves with the appropriately skilled staff for any type of move.

MD passes 3 Removals exams at one sitting

MD passes 3 Removals exams at one sitting

Scot Brown the Managing Director of Dundee Removal Services has passed all 3 Removals Management Exams set by The Movers Institute (TMI) at one exam diet. Normally these exams are taken over a 2  3 year period however Scot decided that given his previous background and his current level of knowledge he would give them a go in the short space of time. Having carried out regular travel to Watford for full week courses he then sat the exams in March 2007. The awards were confirmed in May and Scot attended a gala dinner at the Russell Hotel in Russell Square London where he was presented with his awards by the guest speaker for the evening, Gyles Brandereth.

DRS takes over other local movers

Dundee Removal Services has recently acquired JLK International Movers which features the common local removal names of Justice of Dundee, Leadingham Removals and KnightPacking Warehousing and Shipping. This move has propelled DRS into the international moving market and allowed it to consolidate all the current storage services under one roof at its secure container storage centre at Kingsway East in Dundee.
